The fishing season runs from mid-April through mid-December for Rockfish, Bluefish, Trout and Spanish Mackerel. During the Spring Trophy Season for the Stripers/Rockfish/Striped Bass (mid-April through May 15), the larger fish have moved to the mid-Chesapeake Bay areas from the Bay Bridge to Solomon’s Island. With the Summer Season (beginning May 16) the Stripers/Rockfish/ Striped Bass are in the upper and middle Chesapeake Bay areas.

We fish the Upper Chesapeake Bay to the Lower-Mid Chesapeake Bay. The type of fishing and areas to be fished depends on where and how the fish are biting.

Capt TJ has been fishing areas on the Chesapeake Bay for over 30 years and will put you on the fish. The Tracy Lynn is equipped with the latest safety equipment and electronics. All licenses, bait and tackle are provided.

Crabbing makes for a fun day on the Chesapeake Bay. Chicken Necking or Trot Lining is a great experience and lots of fun for the entire family.

Family Cruises on the Chesapeake Bay are also available. Enjoy early morning or sunset cruises to see the beautiful Thomas Point and Bloody Point Lighthouses and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Kentmorr Restaurant and Mike’s Crab House are within short distances for a leisurely lunch or nice dinner.

Trolling: The Trophy Striper/Rockfish/Striped Bass season starts in mid-April and runs thru May 15^th for the larger fish (one fish allowed per angler – 28 inches or larger). Trolling for other species such as Bluefish, Trout and Spanish mackerel runs from mid-April through mid-December. We provide only the best fishing gear for this type of fishing. Capt TJ can put you on the fish and leave you with some great memories that can last a lifetime.

*NOTE: The Captain reserves the right to return to homeport once you have caught your daily limit of rockfish/stripers. The Captain also reserves the right to return to homeport in the event of change in weather (bad and or dangerous conditions).

Chumming:
Chumming or live lining with light tackle can be great for Stripers/Rockfish. Aboard the Tracy Lynn, we grind fresh bait on board when chumming along with fresh cut bait. When live lining, we provide live bait. Fish cleaning is also available.

Bottom Fishing
Bottom fishing for Perch, Spot and Croakers/Hardhead is offered with light tackle spinning gear and great family fun. This type of fishing is great for small children and groups that really want to catch fish.

You may also want to consider a half-day of crabbing. "Chicken necking” is lots of fun. This is where we set in a certain area and tie chicken necks to lines that we place all around the boat. You pull the lines up with the crabs on them and net them. Or you may wish to run the trotline. Either way, crabbing is great fun. Some days, it doesn’t take long to get a bushel!
